Hon. Mrs Lila Pearson

Born in Denmark, Lila has found her home in England’s beautiful West Sussex with her family where she is devoted to the sport of polo.

Lila trains and competes with Cowdray Polo Club, over which she is currently acting as Vice President. From time to time, Lila also dabbles in some dressage, showjumping, hunting and hacking out with the young thoroughbreds.

We first met Lila as a customer of Glaze & Gordon as she loves our Goode Rider denim breeches for their comfort and grippy seats - perfect for polo! She has then gone on to try our Traditional Training Breeches and Classic White Polo Breeches.

Horses are in Lila’s blood. Inheriting her love from her father who, wisely, taught her to ride before she could walk. Lila had a considerable career showing ponies from the age of 12 to 16; winning Horse of the Year Show on a tricky and troublesome 14”2 show pony remains one of her equestrian highlights.

No doubt Lila’s early equestrian endeavours have moulded her skill in the polo saddle, resulting in her many professional successes on the field. As the first woman to reach the semi-final of the British Open Gold Cup at Cowdray, scoring numerous goals for the Cowdray Vikings throughout her career, Lila embodies the pioneering dedicated equestrian spirit which Glaze & Gordon celebrates.

Lila is also focused on breeding and producing her own homebred polo ponies, taking pride in seeing them playing at the very top levels of Polo.

We’re always thrilled to see Lila competing in style in our White Polo Breeches or riding out in Goode Rider. Our breeches collection, which expertly combine comfort in the saddle with fashion on the ground, are permanent staples in Lila’s daily wardrobe.
