Mum to two sons, Toby and Benny, Nicole faces the challenge like so many others of balancing the demands, pressures and joys of working and family life. Her passion for the sport of eventing and her commitment to her professional career mean the family get involved wherever possible.

Having evented herself as a girl, selling her horse at the end of her A-Level years, Nicole got her first taste of commentating at Winkburn Park Horse Trials. A born presenter, Nicole’s expertise and knowledge are always evident in the commentator’s box, where she expertly combines a run-down on the action on the field with riveting insights into horse and rider combinations backed by facts from EquiRatings.

A true G&G trailblazer, Nicole is co-host of one of the sport of eventing’s most novel initiatives, The Eventing Podcast, along with Diarm Byrne and Sam Watson who are also co-founders of EquiRatings. With a series of shows from event previews and reviews to specialist interviews with equestrian superstars as well as educational features, The Eventing Podcast is a must-listen for all those with an interest in equestrian sports.

With the little spare time she has left, Nicole has recently taken up shooting, sharing the field with Working Cocker Spaniels Bertie and Jack, and sometimes husband Oliver too. The full circle experience of a day’s shooting, starting on the field, to retrieving the game and ending with a family feast, is part of the wonder of country sports which the G&G collection exists to celebrate.
